NFR

We were lucky enough to get to go to NFR this year twice! We got a phone call from Brittany on opening night about 20 minutes before the rodeo started. Of course we couldn't pass it up (even though Adam did have a final the next day!). Our neighboors gave us 4 tickets that they couldn't use the next Monday. These kinds of things are last minute, so since Adam was in finals he just wasn't able to escape this time. Instead I brought my very good friend Andrea who would appreciate all things cowboy! We also brought the Dickersons with us. we had a blast! THE KIDS LOVED EVEY MINUTE OF IT! Blaze was better behaved than I had seen him in days (he was teething). We are so lucky & very grateful to have freinds that think of us when the rodeo comes to town!

AWESOME NEW PARK!

We have discovered a beautiful new park that we love! It is awesome! Mom doesn't want to go to any other parks in town ever again. Okay so part of it has to do with the fact that there aren't any swings! It is sad, I have great memories of swinging at the park with my dad, but I hate standing there forever! Anyways the whole park is just so cute!

SNOW DAY!!! (SLIDE SHOW)

I finally figured out the slide show thing...okay so I just Haven't spent the time to do it. Shoot me!

SNOW DAY!!!

On December 1st we drove up to Mt. Charleston with our friends the Dickersons. After the steady day of rain we had here in the valley there was a good 18" in Lee canyon. We were like the 2nd family up there so it was just pristine & beautiful. Bennett had been practicing with Daddy how to make snowballs the day before (they were imaginary) so he was ready! It was only about 20 degrees when we got there so needless to say Bennett had a bit of trouble adjusting to the tempreture...not to mention trying to walk in snow for the first time! He was not too excited however when he needted to go potty & I told him he had to do it outside. He begged for a toilet, but since one was not available he gave in! Blaze was as cozy as could be in his little bundler. He had one when he was a newborn & pretty much lived in the thing for the first three months of his life! When it started getting cold (like last week!) I ran out & grabbed a new one & of couse...he LOVES it!! Before we left, the boys loaded the back of the truck to the top with snow. We unloaded it in the neighborhood park & invited the neighbors out. It was much more temperate, so the kids enjoyed the snow a little bit more! All in all we had a good time & made some memories!
P.S. I will try ti add a slide show asap...I just can't seem to get it to work so more snowy pictures to follow!

NOVEMBER 2007

It's Basketball season again!!! For those of you who don't know...we go to pretty much every game we possibly can. Bennett looks forward to games for days before and talks about them for days after. He asks me every time we pass the Thomas & Mack (or he sees anything with UNLV written on it) if there is a game that night! it is good family fun!

HALLOWEEN

Here are my two little cow pokes! Bennett loves horses & cowboys etc! He was so excited to dress up in his costume! Adam and I made a team effort & made Blaze's little chaps. We were kind of proud of them!
Our little family. Adam is a mechanic & the rest of us are cow boys & girls (respectively). We went to our ward Trunk 'r' treat which is perfect for Bennett's little legs! He got plenty of candy & had a great night!

October 24, 2007

I have a friend whose parents have a horse ranch here in town that we love to visit. Bennett just LOVES horses! He even is getting brave enough to feed them now! We had a blast just getting out of the house & having plenty of room to play & run aroun!

October 12, 2007

We took the boys to the Pumpkin Patch (mostly to take advantage of the piles of pumpkins perfect for taking pictures). They had a grand ole time. Blaze takes after his brother and loved eating the straw...Bennett did the same thing when he was that age! Blaze did have a slight reaction to it though, his chin was quite red for the next number of hours. Bennett thought basket ball was a great game to play with the little pumpkins...luckily none broke! All in all...good times!

AUGUST 10, 2007 Okay...call me weird, but I am really interested in cloth diapers. I have a girlfriend who did it with her twins since not long after birth & loved it. There are all sorts of variations that you can buy now (trust me, they are way cooler than you think!) but they are pretty expensive to build up a stock. So, I decided to try to sew my own! This is my first attempt. It is a little small, so we will see how it goes with the next one (when I can get to it!). JULY 29,2007 Just a couple of cute boys!
JULY 21, 2007 Adam's had a class campout at Mt Charleston. We went up as a family, but Bennett stayed with daddy overnight. He thought he was such a big kid and loved evey minute of the experience!
Now can you tell me there is a cuter scene then Bennett playing the piano with his Papa!?! He was so proud to show Papa how he can play hymns like Daddy!

May 2007

This is Blaze (2.5 mo.) preparing himself, happily for our Memorial Day trip to His cousins' house in Parawon, UT. Bennett discovered the joys of weapons on this visit to his cousins'. He couldn't even bear to part with the machine gun at bed time! He also had a great time chasing the lambs and the goats, so he was quite the tired boy!

Blaze's Blessing

We blessed Blaze on May 6th. He looked just darling in his little blessing gown, and actually was content for the whole thing! I thought about just putting him in Bennett's blessing gown until I realized he was too big! He keeps getting fatter & I LOVE it! He has the greatest little thighs...rolls included!

Here are the boys on Easter. Bennett really does love his baby bro!

Our Family

This is our little family. Adam, Ashley, Bennett, & Blaze. We are surviving two children. It was rough for a while. Poor Blaze has had a tough time. He spent a few days in the hospital when he was 2 weeks old. He even had to have an IV in his scalp. That was not the easiest thing to watch as a mother! We have had some other obstacles to overcome as well, but things are getting much better! Bennett loves is little brother and cannot seem to get enough kisses in! We have two beautiful little boys and are loving almost every crazy moment of our family!
